Prep for Camp GetAway & a secret discount

My next relaxing and rejuvenating "for women only" weekend in the mountains at Camp GetAway is getting closer and closer... 6 little weeks left to go...

Thinking back to when I was a kid, I remember the anticipation in the days before leaving to go to camp... What do I pack? Will the other girls like me? How am I ever going to learn to shoot a bow and arrow?!! Once I arrived at camp however, I quickly realized everyone else was pretty much just like me-- there for fun fun fun! We quickly bonded around the lunch table and through singing songs, making s'mores, sleeping in and just being silly together.

Now that I am a parent and not a child... I look forward to my 3-day weekend vacation at Camp GetAway much the same way as I did then... with super exciting anticipation!

I know that my three days up in the mountains will go by fast and that I need to make the most of every minute!! You're never to old to learn to canoe, right? I'll be trying that this time around. And... maybe, possibly, I'll get up for a morning hike, but if I sleep in, that's good too. And of course yoga to de-pretzelize my muscles-- can't forget that.

Adult retreats such as this also have some distinct advantages to their kiddie counterparts... manicures, pedicures, facials and massages! I've already signed up for my massage and it's one of the things I'm looking forward to most.

Also, I have constantly been thinking of what I want to do for the Saturday night TV show themed dinner! As you may remember from a previous blog post, the April party theme was the 70's and my Holly Hobbie lunch box went over well, but some of my fellow campers pulled out all the stops and came up with some truly fabulous creations, so I need to step up my game! Here's one hint: I'm going to be a Doctor and my mom is going to be a Nurse! If someone actually guesses WHICH SHOW we'll be a doctor/nurse from, I've got a craftabulous prize for the winner!!

Okay, okay... I've been babbling on and on and hope you're not jealous... you can still sign up too! I would so LOVE to meet some of my fellow blogging friends!! When I last talked with the owner of Camp GetAway, Patti, I mentioned several of you who had thought about going and she generously told me that anyone who signed up for camp using my blog name as a reference (Celtic Mommy) can still get in at the pre-registration price! The early registration deadline was yesterday, but, through the 15th, if you tell her I sent you, you can pay the Early Bird price! Woo hoo, now I'm a coupon! Sorry... that seems funny to me.

I've said it before, but some of you may be new to reading me, so I'll say it again: I keep writing about Camp GetAway because it's one of the best bargains out there for frazzled, worn out women! Like my tutorials, I know a good thing when I see it and love to share with everyone else. And if I could actually meet some of you, it's all the more rewarding for me!

I'll be there snacking on chocolate and sipping goodness from a giant mug of tea in front of the lodge fireplace. I hope we find each other there.
